Campus Safety

At Frostburg State, we are committed to keeping our entire community safe.

That’s why we have our own police and security team working 24/7, plus many other initiatives to make our campus a safer place. University Police have an agreement with City of Frostburg that allows our police officers to patrol adjacent city neighborhoods which encompasses much of the off-campus student housing areas.

Residence Halls

With student safety in mind, all FSU residence halls have ID card-access readers and video security cameras at all exterior doors.

Burg Alerts

In an emergency, communication is critical. Burg Alerts, Frostburg State's text messaging service, offers students, faculty and staff a fast & convenient text message alert service. We strongly encourage students, faculty and staff to register—it only takes a minute. This will be the surest way for you to receive public safety and/or university closing notifications.
