Meeting Your Academic Needs

First-Year Student Advising: We’re here from the start of your FSU career to help you figure out how to earn your college degree. Our staff can advise you on which courses to take to complete your major program or help you pick a major that fits your interests. We’re always available to chat whether you’re having a great or more challenging semester.

Undeclared and Transitional Student Advising: If you’re unsure of your place at FSU, we can guide you in finding a major and exploring academic and developmental opportunities that fit your strengths. Our goal is to help you capitalize on your unique skills and talents to achieve success.

Students on Academic Probation and Warning: CAAR has the tools to help you get back on track. We’ll work with you to build an Academic Recovery Plan (PDF) and find ways to improve your scholastic life, including making the most of CAAR-sponsored workshops and other campus resources. We’ll meet with you regularly to chat about your classes, major choice, career interest, extra-curricular life and anything else that can help you progress and feel motivated.
